Habitat for Humanity call for volunteers
Wednesday July 28, 2010 Habitat for Humanity South Peace Society is calling all volunteers!
Mark Saturday, August 7th on your calendar! The permits are in, the service connections scheduled, and contractors are lined up for roughing in plumbing and wiring. We’re ready to go.
Any skill level welcome, from journeyman to lumbering klutz.
If your skills lay in areas other than construction, there’s an opening for you too. You can help organize and register volunteers, provide or help prepare a lunches. There are other ways to help Habitat for Humanity build a future for low income families too! You can donate quality new and used building materials, furniture and appliances to the Habitat for Humanity South Peace Society ReStore @ 10431 A – 96 St, just east of the Aquatera Eco Centre. And Tell your friends!
All volunteers must complete on-site orientation before participating.
Daily orientation times are 9 a.m; 1 p.m.; and 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Safety boots and full length pants are mandatory on the job site. There will be some safety boots available for borrowing if you don’t have your own.
