Boy Scouts
Wednesday September 24, 2008 | (l-r) Angie Robertson, Sarah Falcon, Donald MacDonald, (Scouts Canada, Field Council Executive) Donna Merry and Dina Janzen. McDonald was in Tumbler Ridge to discuss leader training, which will be offered in Prince George in early October and again in November. The training encompasses how to run and plan basic programs, and how to control risk. The orientation will take place in Tumbler Ridge, and the balance of the training will be in Prince George. McDonald is based in Prince George, and covers an area from Hundred Mile House to Whitehorse. He was impressed with the number of Scouts in the area. The Bakerville trip early in the season and the forthcoming shoreline clean up at Gwillim Lake made a favourable impression on McDonald.
