Karien Sheepers belts it out at Tumbler Ridge Jr. Idol, April 28. Karien won the 13 up category. Other winners include Krystianne Cavanayan in the 10 to 11 group and Angel Weipert in the 7-9 category.

WINTER CARNIVAL EVENTS January 24-30 - posted under January. More updates as details become available. All events will be posted in newspaper and around town prior to the Carnival.
 
Bingo – Hosted by the Lions Club - Every Monday night. - Community Centre - Room 5 - 6:30-10:00 pm - Sorry, no minors. .
 
 T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Thursday at the NEW LIFE ASSEMBLY Church at 275 Murray Drive. Weigh-in takes place 6:00-6:30 pm and the meeting is from 6:30-7:30 pm. Contact Cindy 242-5826 or Lynn 242-3178.

Musical Chairs Jam - Saturday nights at the Community Centre - 4:00 - 9:00 pm - All musicians/vocalists welcome to come and jam with this group. The intention is to have a standard repertoire of music to be ready to play at events when needed. Genre is soft alternative, country, folk and soft rock. 29        Robbie Burns Night - Supper can be attended by all ages. Music and hootch in the evening for the adults! Tickets for supper MUST be pre-sold between January 7th and 22nd , no exceptions. Haggis and authentic celebrations. Tickets for adults include the supper and evening entertainment $25/person and reduced tickets for minors/youth are $10/person for supper only. 30        TR welcomes Jay Morrison - trainer of Denny Morrison who took the Gold Medal in Lonmg Track Speed Skating Team Pursuit during the 2010 Olympics.  Come and hear him speak and then have a public skate with this Olympic training athlete. TRSS Field/Oval 2:00

10        AGM - TRCAC - Community Centre - Room 3 - 7:00 pm - Followed by a brief regular meeting. This umbrella groups for arts/culture in Tumbler Ridge is a round table exchange of events/groups in our community. You are welcome to join year round and we would love to see you all there.
