Karien Sheepers belts it out at Tumbler Ridge Jr. Idol, April 28. Karien won the 13 up category. Other winners include Krystianne Cavanayan in the 10 to 11 group and Angel Weipert in the 7-9 category.

The Grizzly Valley Players Haunted House made its triumphant return this past Halloween after taking last year off for a budgetary induced hiatus. Participants were lead through a wide array of exhibits: some fun, some spooky, some terrifying. The costumes were elaborate and the characters created a fantastic Halloween fantasy as participants were guided through each haunting scene.
These scenes included a grizzled pirate equipped with horrifically creative props, a fortune teller, scream-worthy clowns as well as all sorts of ghosts, ghouls, and demons visiting Tumbler Ridge from beyond. The Grizzly Valley players brought each scene dramatically to life both delighting and horrifying their participants. It was a terrifically organized and creative event that made Halloween a little more scary and a lot more fun for their attendees.
The Haunted House was well worth the three dollar cover charge and was conveniently located near the bonfire to allow Tumbler Ridge residents to take part in all the Halloween festivities.
