Karien Sheepers belts it out at Tumbler Ridge Jr. Idol, April 28. Karien won the 13 up category. Other winners include Krystianne Cavanayan in the 10 to 11 group and Angel Weipert in the 7-9 category.

Bingo – Hosted by the Lions Club - Every Monday night. - Community Centre  - Room 5 - 6:30-10:00 pm - Sorry, no minors. .
 
 T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Thursday at the NEW LIFE ASSEMBLY Church at 275 Murray Drive. Weigh-in takes place 6:00-6:30 pm and the meeting is from 6:30-7:30 pm. Contact Cindy 242-5826 or Lynn 242-3178.

7          Where Art Thou - Showcase for the Tumbler Ridge Community Arts Council - Community Centre - Live performance, such as music, dance, acting. Visual art displays, groups available in our artistic community. Come and check us out.
 
10        Volunteer Appreciation - TR Curling Rink - 12:00 -4:00 pm - Thank You Presentations followed by entertainment.
 
13        Program Registration Night - Community Centre - 7:00 start. Come and see what TR has for groups, organizations and programs.
 
24        Grease Sing-a-long - TR Community Centre - Room 5 - Come and watch the original movie with sing-a-long features and then join us for some karaoke and sock hop party to follow. YOUTH/FAMILY show doors open @ 12:30 pm - Film @ 1:00 pm. Karaoke and sock hop party until 4:00 pm. Youth tickets $10/each - Adults @ family show $12/each. ADULT show doors open @ 6:30 pm (Licensed with cash bar)- Film @ 7:00 pm - Karaoke and sock hop party to follow until 12:00 am. Adult ticket at licensed event $15/each..PRIZES for best costume at BOTH shows.
 
OCTOBER
29        Rocky Horror Night and Halloween Dance/Costume Party - TR Community Centre - Rooms 4/5Adult Licensed event, sorry - no minors. $20 tickets gets you the film, participation packs, and Halloween Party ato follow. $10 tickets sold prior to 9:00 pm at the door for dance only.
